Naan Avanillai has been progressing steadily and without a hitch, thanks to the co-operation extended by the artistes and the meticulous planning by director Selvaa.

A rather interesting and at the same time, nerve-racking situation was encountered by the film’s crew at Chalakudy when they were canning a song sequence.

The crew has been canning songs in exotic, scenic locales. When the crew was shooting for a song at Chalakudy, a beautiful place in Kerala, they had to deal with poisonous snakes, elephants and leeches which were bountiful in the place. The gushing river in fact, tormented the heroine Jyothirmayi. The situation became tense when she was almost swept away in the river leaving the crew appalled.

The crew immediately got into action and they managed to get hold of a huge rock, rushed and got her out of the water.

Since the incident was distressing, the director offered to give her a break. But Jyothirmayi politely refused it and braved to go ahead and soon, the shooting was resumed. The whole crew is all praise for Jyothirmayi seeing her commitment.

The rushes of the song are satisfactory and the director is more than satisfied with the outcome.
